Business Source Elite offers the ability to look for "MarketLine Company Profiles" (which includes a section on the company's top competitors) on a select number of companies.
The following example illustrates a sample search for Microsoft's company profile.
Open the Business Source Elite link below:
Indexing and selected full text coverage for more than 1,000 business publications dating back to 1985.
After Business Source Elite opens, click on "Company Profiles" in the blue menu bar at the top of the page:
Enter the company name in the search box at the top of the screen. (This example has "Alphabetical" selected. You can also select "Match Any Words.") Then, click the "Browse" button:
In the results list, click on the PDF link of the "MarketLine Report" for the company:
The MarketLine Report for the selected company will appear:
The Table of Contents is on page 2 of the report and will indicate which page contains the information on the company's top competitors.
Find the company's top competitors on the appropriate page:
