The Lights Out campaign seeks to bring a heightened awareness to conservation efforts we can foster through sustaining energy.

Tips for Conserving Energy

• Turn off unnecessary lights in the daytime
• Use lower wattage light bulbs in lamps and ceiling fans or use CFL light bulbs 
• Unplug appliances and power strips when on trips or away from home
• Adjust AC when leaving the house
• Adjust thermostat on the hot water heater to a lower setting 
• Change AC filters often
• Close the refrigerator
• Clean lint filters in dryer or use old tennis balls
