Library Collections

As an NSU student, you will have access to a variety of both print and digital library collections. This page contains more information about what types of resources are available and how to access them.

Print Collections

  • Reference Collection

The Reference Collection provides standard reference materials such as dictionaries, thesaurusi, encyclopedias, handbooks/manuals, and more. These materials are not available to be checked out but can be used in the library.

Digital Collections

Academic Databases

The NSU Libraries have over 200 academic databases available through our website. They can be accessed anywhere with an internet connection with your NSU user name and password. 

Some of the most commonly used databases are:

eBooks

There are many eBooks available through the library's website. When you are using the Everything or Books & Media searches, there will be a series of filters on the left-hand side of the results. Under 'Format' select the box for 'eBooks' to limit your search. You can access and read these books anywhere with your NSU login.

eJournals

Our vast collection of E-Journals (academic journals available digitally) can be searched or browsed through the 'E-Journals by Title' tab on the library homepage (or see the link below). This is a helpful search tool if you have an article citation with the name, volume, and/or issue of a journal.
