The primary mission of the Library is to support the educational, research, and outreach objectives of the University by:

  • organizing and providing access to information resources, both on-site and through remote access, and
  • promoting the necessary conditions for their effective use, organization, and maintenance.

Its secondary mission is to provide the same services to residents of the Eastern Oklahoma region.

Learning Objectives

At the end of this library instruction:

  1. The student will be able to access relevant library resources (physical and digital).
  2. The student will be able to develop and refine effective search parameters.
  3. The student will be able to identify the means of obtaining a free copy of an article for which full text is not readily available (ILL).
  4. The student will be able to navigate resources to help them create AIP-style references.
  5. The student will be able to explain the benefits of using the Zotero citation management software.

Interlibrary Loan (ILL)

Our NSU Interlibrary Loan service provides access to materials from other libraries or those not held in the NSU Libraries collections. ILL services are available to all students, faculty, and staff in the NSU community at no charge.

Interlibrary Loan requests can be submitted and tracked electronically on or off campus through your ILL account, providing secure access, convenience, and expedient processing and delivery.
