CLASS DESCRIPTION: Discussion of general microbial aspects of infectious diseases including special bacteriology, rickettsiology, virology, medical mycology, protozoology, and helminthology. Principles of immunology and epidemiology are reviewed in laboratory procedures and lectures. Prerequisite: BIOL 2224 and Junior standing. Note: No student may earn credit in both BIOL 4164 and BIOL 5164. Dual-listed: BIOL 5164.
