Database Apps : UpToDate

Our licenses now entitle all health professions students and faculty to access UpToDate whenever and wherever they need on their Smartphone or tablet using the mobile apps that are available for both Apple and Android devices.

To gain access to the mobile apps, you must first REGISTER FROM A COMPUTER ON THE NSU NETWORK, create a user name (use your NSU email address), and create your own password, then you must download the app.

1. Register to Use UpToDate

• Got to UpToDate, then click on “Register” in the upper right hand corner of the screen to open the Registration Form.

• Complete the Registration Form, as shown below, being sure to use your NSU email address as your user name. Click “Submit Registration”.

2. Download the UpToDate App

Download the UpToDate app. Open the App Store on your mobile device. Search for “UpToDate” and install at no charge. Open the UpToDate mobile app and login with your UpToDate username and password (the ones you created when you registered). You will be prompted once every 90 days to re-verify your affiliation with NSU by re-entering your UpToDate username and password.

You can still access the Clinical Key & First Consult and UpToDate databases online from any computer with Internet access as long as you begin your search from your Library Resources page at:
