Document
delivery is a service used to borrow materials owned by other NSU campus
libraries.
How long before I receive my request?
Document delivery requests usually arrive within 2-4 working days
via campus mail. The arrival date of interlibrary loan requests largely
depends on the type of material being requested as well as the location and ILL
volume of the lending library. Unless you specify otherwise, you will be notified via e-mail when
your request becomes available.
How long can items be checked out?
The length of time a document delivery item can be checked out
depends on a patron’s university affiliation as well as the type of material
requested. Faculty and graduate students are allotted one full semester
for most items; undergraduates are allotted three weeks. The primary exception
to this rule is audio visual material, which has a seven-day lending period.
The length of time an interlibrary loan request can be checked out will vary,
as it is determined by the lending library. Typically, this varies from three
weeks to three months. Most items can be renewed.
If you would like
to renew a document delivery item, go here . If you would like to renew an interlibrary
loan item, please contact the ILL/DD Department by e-mail, phone, or in person. Please place
your renewal request one week in advance.
Within your ILLIad request manager online, there is a View/Renew
Checked Out Items link under the Review
Requests, but that feature is not currently active in our system.
What if I forget my username and
password?
