Library Guide for MBA 5413 - Strategic Management
The NSU John Vaughan Library provides access to many books and
databases which can be useful for the case analysis and strategic alternatives
assignments.
To learn what the
library has in terms of paper and electronic books, please consult the online library catalog, or request assistance
at the library reference desk. If you have not found the desired book material
in the online library catalog,
please feel free to contact either the Business and Technology resource
coordinator (see below) or the library reference desk (456-5511,
ext. 3240). Additionally,
to search for books not owned by the NSU Library you may
wish to use WorldCat,
which is best described as an international library catalog.

WorldCat can help identify books owned by
other libraries which can be borrowed for you, free of charge. To
request a book from another library, stop by either Reference
or Circulation in the library, or take a look at the Interlibrary
Loan Department web page.
The NSU Library web site provides access to a variety of
online databases which
can be used to find pertinent periodical
literature and data. Some of the most useful databases and indexes
for the overall assignment
include ABI/Inform, Mergent, Morningstar,
NetAdvantage,
Thomson,
and WorldScope. ABI/Inform is a periodical index and full text article database. Mergent, Morningstar, Thomson and Worldscope provide a variety of statistics and reports on companies and industries. Mergent also provides information on private and international companies.
