The Circulation Department is the central hub for most materials to be checked out to students, faculty/staff and guests. The circulation desk is located at the back of the library, at the north end of the building. Services available include checking out and renewing material, placing holds, increasing print limits, lost & found, and other general assistance.

Borrowing Privileges:

Circulating items may be checked out by students and faculty/staff who present a valid NSU or photo ID. Guests may also check out materials by becoming a special borrower of the library. A Social Security number and second form of ID are required for this service.

RenewalPolicy:

Library items may be renewed provided they are not recalled, on hold, or reserve items. The maximum number of renewals are: Undergraduate students--five; Special Borrowers (Guests)--two; Faculty/Staff and Graduate students--two semesters. Book Returns:

Book drops are located at the circulation and ILL desks. After hours, materials may be returned to the outside book drop located at the south side of the building.

Fines/Replacement Costs:

Replacement costs for unreturned materials will be assessed to the patron's account with the business office. Patrons will be unable to check out items until overdue materials are either returned or paid for. Lost items which have been paid for and later returned will be re-credited to the borrower's account.
