Diversity in Community is a partnership of Tahlequah area organizations formed to
promote a community environment that is enthusiastically supportive of diversity. The
focus of the effort is an annual forum presented as part of the annual Northeastern State
University Martin Luther King, Jr. “Making a Difference Week.” The purpose of the
forum is both educational and developmental. Events, speakers, and workshops provide
information intended to facilitate understanding through improved knowledge. The
forum facilitates networking of individuals with like public service interests as well as
energy and enthusiasm for the work of community development.
